Can I format a batch of source code files one time?

Yes, of course. But the precondition is your FormatCode is the registered version. Registered FormatCode can format all different source code files in whole folder, includes sub folders, automatically and rapidly.


How can I format source code in Windows Explorer?

Very easy - please click 'Configure' --> 'General Options' --> 'Add to context menu', a new item named 'FormatCode' will be added to context menu, then right click the destination source code file in Explorer, select the "FormatCode", that's all.

After all works finished, a ring will be heard. The time spent according to the size and type of the destination file.

Note: Please do not format other files during FormatCode is formatting one file.


How can I invoke FormatCode in my favourite IDEs & text editors?

The possibility to integrate FormatCode command line into third party software like IDEs and text editors is one of the most valuable features of FormatCode series, such as Microsoft Visual C++ 6, Microsoft .NET 7, JCreator, Eclipse, IntelliJ Idea, Oracle JDeveloper, Delphi, UltraEdit, SlickEdit, Editplus, TextPad, Crimson Editor, AnyEdit, Source Insight, EditPad Pro, ConText, etc...

Can FormatCode support JavaDoc, Doxygen, CCDoc documentation?

FormatCode fully support common documentation standards, such as JavaDoc, Doxygen, CCDoc documentation. If you have new feature request, please submit your request to us, thank you.


I can't save my customized configuration, why?

This is a bug of FormatCode old vesions. After installed by administrator, only administrators can save customization to WinNT registry, the users who haven't the privilege of registry writing can not save it. This bug had been resolved in FormatCode 2.xx version.


Why the FormatCode cannot work in my computer?

Because FormatCode has some anti-crack ways to protect itself from piracy. If some debuggers or spy tools are running, FormatCode can't be loaded to memory. Please disable them and try again.

If the application prompts the file has been infected by virus, maybe the reason is the executable file has been modified by other program or you system has been infected by virus, please use anti-virus software scan your system and reinstall FormatCode.


I have registered your software, but I have lost my registration key, help me!

Why my source becomes more messy after formatting?

FormatCode bases parse engines and is designed to format source code written in syntactically correct languages. So make sure your source code could be compiled before formatting.


Is it possible to run FormatCode in Linux or Unix?

Yes. FormatCode can run in Ubuntu Linux, OpenSuse Linux, Fedora Linux, Debian Linux, Red Hat Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, Solaris, HP-UX & SCO Unix operating systems.


Can you offer FormatCode as add-ons or plug-ins for our products?
